The following is an extract from a recent Bath Rugby programme.
“The business of keeping the Bath Rugby players healthy and on the pitch involves not just the full-time medical and conditioning staff at Farleigh House, but also various association practitioners. Martin Sparkes is one of those practitioners: a bath-based Osteopath with a long association with both the City and the Rugby Club.
Born in Bath, Martin went to King Edward's School, going on to play for Bath Rugby for 17 years before retiring in 1996. He has been the Official Osteopath to Bath Rugby since 2006, now working as part of the Medical team at Farleigh House. His skills and professional approach, along with the empathy he brings as an ex-player, help to provide an invaluable service to the players. As well as his part time work at Bath Rugby, Martin also works from private clinics at Catherine Place and Great Pulteney Street in Bath.”
